Directing in Boston

LINX Wellesly

As Director of Theatre for LINX, Arielle oversaw 18 productions a semester, directing several herself. These productions included casts of students ranging in age from 3-15.  During her time with LINX, Arielle restructured the theatre department and honed it to better serve the community of parents and children with whom LINX worked so closely. She also served as costume designer and created many of the props seen on stage.

Touring Florida

Touring Company

Since I have taken over as the supervisor and coach of the Viera Studio Touring Company, we have produced two full scale touring shows and two Holiday Spectaculars.  Our 2016 show used our company member's own words, as well as the music of Stephen Sondheim, Rogers and Hamerstein, Elton John and Stephen Schwartz to explore what it is we love about theatre.  The 2017-18 show celebrated Broadway through the ages with selections from 42nd Street, Hair, Hamilton and More.

The company performed at Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, The King Center for the performing Arts, Gaylord Palms, and various local venues.

Workshops

Young Playwrights, Improv, Shakespeare & MORE

During my time as a theatre educator, both in Florida and Massachussets, I have had the pleasure to conducts several very successful workshops: Making Moves-Making a Movie, Improvisation: It's all Fun and Games, the Young Playwrites series, and Shakespeare for Kids.  These weekly workshops challenged our students to explore their talents and imaginations and create exciting and original pieces of theatre.

In each installation of the workshops, students explored a new theme inspired by iconic pieces of theatre and each workshop concluded with the students sharing their new skills with family and friends. The Shakepeare workshops performed A Midsummer Night's Dream and The Tempest, the Improvisation workshops participated in the "Improv-o-lympics" and the play writing workshops hosted stage readings of their original play.
